Walking into the summer season, John Craig pulled out a lot of trendy colours, bright pops, light yellows, and bringing in orange and green.

This year, Marie Claire has warned fashion trendsetters of a pastel attack and nothing short of crayon blends. Not colour blocking guys, “BLENDS“.
Even David Tlale got the memo and presented an explosion of colours at the recent New York Spring/Summer fashion week. Immersing the wet streets of the big city with greens, lime and shades of pinkish.
It seems like John Craig has joined the colour parade.

From what we have seen, Summer18 looks more like gentlemen in a pear green fitted peak lapels (unbuttoned) with a pink rose garden T-shirt or shirt complemented by green covered lapel pins.
No happy socks, this year, I believe their time must be over now. We can also give belts and ties a break; however, they can be excused for some work days or formal events. Weekends should be reserved for fun and showing a bit of skin, don’t be scared to let that chest out because this summer is all about being sexy.
I expect to bump into a guy walking on a Saturday afternoon tuned up in a lemonade pink/coral floral T-shirt, shirt or vest and chino shorts. He can also pull out his sexy flops, they make men look fun and relaxed. And who doesn’t love cute toes in flops?
For the John Craig summer collection, they relayed a perfect way to pull off fun and sexy “convertible” looks – day wear that can transform to night wear.
Slightly torn Jeans (not too visible), coloured shirts, rounded off with stylish single breasted blazers that light up the room made an appearance.
Pink and soft blue perfectly fitting suits also made an appearance, accompanied by white sneakers and double coloured loafers.
We all know shorts and golfers are a cool summer tradition, summer would not be sexy without a handsome guy showing off his legs.
Nicole Van Doninck, John Craig’s head of marketing, says their summer18 range was created for a guy who wants to walk into the fashion world without necessarily going the high fashion route.
This guy wants to wear washed up denim but switch it up with a bold or colourful top. He wants to have that fashion edge but doesn’t want to dominate.
“We created a wardrobe that’s interchangeable. He must be putting on an outfit and feel comfortable.
“The idea is to put special touches into everything. You pull out a hankie and it’s different. We added little accessories because they add something to any look. Special touches are also on the collars, yoke being a different colour, cufflinks and little trim on a T-shirt.
She adds: “The looks are for everyone. The, ‘I have just started a family’; ‘I am on the go’ guy or the career driven man. Also the man who wants the head to toe, Monday to Sunday, looks.”
